This is where things get non-verbal. We are dealing with fundamental ideas like warmth, agitation, hunger, sexuality, and love. Don't worry - these things are not removed. You just lose a rigid attachment to the form that they must take.
Regulation:
Silent, mindful walking.
Bathing with humming.
Isolation:
Meditation, allowing thoughts to arise and dissipate.
Morning writings.
Cessation:
Meditation, non-conceptual, vipassana focus on abstract sensations such as mental inclination, space, cranial sensations and facial microtensions.
Hot bath, cold shower, meditate.
This is potent. Do not try until you have built meditative competence. Only do one repetition.
Focus on releasing consciousness; stabilise it on mental sensations and then let go of all control.
This suppresses the DMN, which allows for wide-scale reprogramming.
Recommended:
At this level things become very subtle and you cannot use words to isolate ideas. You have to rely on your mind to do the work for you. You will likely have found your own modalities by the time you get here, but my own approach was:
Evening bath with humming, focusing on sensations in the brain.
Non-conceptual meditation, releasing the sense of control over attention, experiencing the physical sensation of consciousness folding in on itself.
Writing every morning, and texting self throughout the day, for multimodal re-encoding.
