Think of the process of programming your brain like going for a walk while strapped to a bungee cord which is attached to a rusty mine cart.
One foot needs to be on the floor at all times. You can only lift and move the other foot.
The L5 metacognition is deciding which direction you will walk. This could be good or bad.
You can never stop walking. The brain is plastic and will always change.
While your realworld foot is on the ground, you can move your scaffold foot toward non-greed.
Your scaffold foot will be planted when you give yourself to sleep or regulation, and will pull your realworld foot in the same direction.
Change happens slowly and then all at once.
You walk the path, one foot at a time. If you go slowly, the mine cart can catch up.
If you go fast, the bungee gets tight. Things get difficult. You feel strange cranial sensations.
*snap*
The bungee breaks and you lose your self-construct.
The mind goes into rebuild mode and enters the insight cycle.
You carry on walking.
Do not turn back now. You are free. But there is another bungee forming. Keep walking while it does.
Then slow down and let the cart keep up with you.
Or keep going fast and eventually that bungee goes *snap* too.
Rebuild.
Rinse and repeat.
This is why goodness breeds goodness and greed breeds greed.
It is incremental.
You only control the direction that you face.
The legs will walk themselves.
This protocol enables you to run.
